Thanks everyone for all your wonderful help. Sorry to bother you again but sometimes you just get to a point in the games where nothing else seems to happen.
Here is my new inventory:

6 Red Gemstones
/ Food Rations
/ Wire Clippers
/ Map
3 Black Gemstones
/ Rope
/ Key of Opening
/ Magnifying Glass
/ Guard's Sword
/ Tinderbox
/ Clear Focus Stone
/ Picture
/ Stone of Strengthening
/ Torch
/ Crate
/ The Rink

Please tell me how I get the rink to follow me past the cave. Isn't he suppose to help me in my home world??
