Every parent's nightmare! Not very many kids in this area walk to school, but it only takes one kid in the wrong place at the wrong time. There is just too much traffic these days.

Driving to Georgia today, WMM and I almost got sandwiched between two trucks. A wide load came over into our lane and there was no place to go. A loud horn may have been the only thing that saved us. That should be good for a few weeks of nightmares.

About a half an hour earlier, I started to change lanes and checked all of my mirrors. Nothing showed. But I have habit of turning my head left for a quick glance back, and that saved our skin. An SUV was riding along in my blind spot. If I had changed lanes, it would have been my fault. There is no such thing as being too alert when driving.
