I think you're thinking of pain....the mind can't remember the specific feeling of pain. You can remember that something hurt REAL bad, but you can't remember the feeling.

As for color, the outfit I used to get the most compliments on was bought piecemeal, without taking each different item of apparel into the store to shop for the next, and blouse, suit, even the shoes matched perfectly. I have gone to the paint store without the paint chip in hand and been able to pick the exact same color of lavender out of ANOTHER manufacturer's chips. Then again, maybe I'm just amazing.
