Actually, if you look at the series as a whole, you get:

Good: Alien, Aliens, Predator (for what it is)
Bad: Alien3, Alien Resurrection
Terrible: Predator 2

That's 3 for 6 in my book. For some reason, I still have a fondness for the series.

Anyway... I thought the movie was terrible. I expected it to suck, and I wasn't surprised that it did, but I was surprised by how much it sucked. It was just a disgrace to the entire Alien franchise. It's like Paul W.S. Anderson, the director, played a bunch of the Aliens vs. Predator games, but didn't watch any of the movies.

...which wouldn't surprise me, since his previous two big hits were both video game adaptations. I hate that man so much.
