You could almost be coming down from Perrinn. Which is fine, if you don't mind a slightly longer journey. I know there is at least one person who did more or less a whole game out of Kaliti (that would be commie_bat), but I haven't tried it. > > > > > I'm sure you meant to say "Perinn", and I'm even more sure that I wasn't the first player to do that, so I can't really take all the credit. > > I was thinking about Lady Abelha of Spelling. I tend to forget that you had other solo characters before that -- you were already working on Druids when I started MR. I seem to recall a message in which this character was coming down from Kaliti. > > > Perinn is surprisingly close to Teralt, if you know the way. It's not a big handicap to play out of Perinn. It's probably most economically useful when you have a single character party who can't always carry enough Items of Extra-Specialness to pay his frequent medical bills. > > Never really had that problem -- came close a couple of times. > > > > mac "beware the Teralt death tax" rinus7 > > > > I'd be more wary of the paralysis tax. You can usually see death coming, and you can sometimes avoid it or head home early. Paralysis just kinda happens, and can even happen in your first battle on level 10. Then you're stuck with the bill, but you don't have any Items of Extra-Specialness to sell. > > I have never really had a problem with paralysis. My solo character got paralyzed once, just *before* he got to Teralt. Not sure if anybody had to deal with the Teralt clinic for that sort of thing. I *did* have a full party of six all get killed. Not quite sure what happened, as this was a couple of years ago. Probably got too ambitious, or didn't have enough spells, or didn't have the right spells. > > The way I see it: solo character = enough money that medical costs are no problem, at least down on the lower levels. For multiple character games so far, I have been using RESTORE or HEALTH, as circumstances dictate. And RESURRECT. > > mac "six dead people against one immobile one" rinus7
You talk about Teralt being close to Perinn if you know how to get there. Is there a hint on how to get there and what level it is on.
