We have just returned from Georgia where friends and relatives from all over gathered for my sister's wedding. Everthing went as planned except the weather, which was far better than expected. Seldom do the words "cool," "dry," and "breezy," all turn up in the same sentence when the subject is Georgia in August, but it did this time. The relative humidity was 30%, which sounds like a California desert.
I saw relatives I had never seen before. Most were children of cousins etc.
Even if she is my sister, I have to admit that the bride looked great. It's hard to believe that she is 72.
There is a lesson here. When you are old and in poor health, your life might not be over. If you have the determination, you can come back like she did. Lots of the relatives who hadn't seen her in a couple of years were astounded. They expected to see the old fat lady with gray hair, a walker, and an oxygen bottle, who could barely get up and cross the room. Instead they saw a trim, dark-haired, dynamic, very happy lady. It was downright inspirational. Howard
