> I like Dilbert for its sense of the absurd. I liked the first Scott Adams book, but disliked Dilbert Future. The first book collected a bunch of thoughts and anecdotes that he had been saying in the comic strip for years. The second book was just a bunch of stuff to fill up a second book. When Adams attempts to be witty or profound or, gawd forbid, explain psedo-new-age-visualization-key-to-success, he completely loses my interest.

I read The Dilbert Principle, and while it was good, I must say that Dilbert Future was hilarious. It's worth it for the chapter on Why The Future Won't Be Like Star Trek. Particularly his use of transporters...

I also liked the bit about Hairy Reasoners. It was an exceedingly funny book, I'm sorry you didn't like it.

As for the infamous last chapter, well, there was sufficient warning...
