GOA: Sneaking Into Kitchen

Hello,

I am sooo stuck! I know i'ts probably really simple, but I've been trying for ages. I'm aware that I have to climb down a rope and into the kitchen window..But everytime I try to climb down the gaurd catches me! I had no problem with getting the hammer. Arg! Lol.

I'd appreciate any spoilers, if you want. As long as it'll help me get past that guard. I dont know how many timrs I've tried waiting for him to leave with the same results.

Not that I think you need it..here's my list of items:

I'm Carrying:

20 Bronze Coins
Guard's Sword
Tinderbox
Portrait

7 Red Gemstones
Stone of Strengthening
Torch
Clear Focus Stone

3 Black Gemstones
Food Rations
Wire Clippers
Hammer

6 Apples
Rope
Key of Opening
Map
