Yeah, definitely, if you have a few days. I seemed to have taken almost the longest of anyone to find it, but it was still really rewarding for me.

I don't recall ever giving you a hint, but if I did, you're welcome.

> IMO, the hardest thing in any of the games is the dragon in GoA. I was able to (mostly) work out the booster and conduit puzzles in PoA that seem to trouble so many people, but that dragon took about a day to kill. Anyone else got any thoughts on the hardest puzzle?

The dragon in GOA was really hard. The conduit puzzle was easy only after multiple searches of the hints board to find an appropriate way of mapping the conduits and junctions. The rat in TOA was pretty tough, and the second mine cart jump in the sandstone caverns was very difficult the first time, when I didn't understand the layout of the sandstone caverns. The difficulty in FQ1 and FQ2 was fairly evenly spaced, so no one puzzle was particularly hard in either of those.

It seems to me that there are two ways you can view any game. One is if you're playing it for the first time, and one is if you've played the game before and know all the secrets. I've played through every AGL game at least twice, and different puzzles are challenging to me than the ones that were challenging the first time around. Puzzles that rely on a simple but elusive "trick" or "secret," something you only discover after you've completed the puzzle, such as the the Economics professor task in TOA, or the beefhead in FQ2, are only challenging for the first time, after which you know the secret and have no trouble with it. But other puzzles, such as the second dragon in GOA or navigating the maze in MoBH, retain their difficulty every time through. Your past experiences may help you, but unless you've memorized the exact sequence of moves, you have to work through the puzzle every time you get to it.

If you have time, try Brackley Hall. It's not as easy as you'd think.
