Er... yeah. I can certainly see the ressemblance. IMHO, Event Horizon started with the potential of being a great SF-horror film... nicely eerie and creepy... until it totally lost it by pulling in the "Evil Dimension" as a plot device. Sure! everyone knows that a medieval gothic Hell is continually attempting to kick, claw, and slaver its way into our universe. And it's even possible to introduce the idea more convincingly into a movie... After all, Luc Besson managed to pull it off in the Fifth Element, with the concept of an evil Anti-Life entity that tries to "get back" at all the Life that is elbowing it out of existence.

But please... May no one even *think* of ever doing "Doom: the Movie". I think it is possible to see things and play games that may injure the soul; and some of these 3rd-person 3D shooters are definitely giving me pause for concern.
