They've been doing that for at least a couple of years. Look at the ratings on the webpages for some movies that are out right now:
http://www.irobotmovie.com/ http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/ http://www2.warnerbros.com/acinderellastory/index.html
All of those sites have the explanations for the ratings right underneath the ratings, in the same box. And it's not just websites; you'll find this in the trailers, previews, on bus ads, posters at the movies, pretty much anywhere you see something that tells you what it's rated.
