Not sure what the cost for resurrection is for a level 4 wizard in Perrinn. Whatever it is, though, it's worse further down. Try having to resurrect a party of six at the last town.

If you haven't found the pool, do so. You can often get some good things out of pools. Then sell them and get a little more money. Then there are items that are a little special -- such as Gloves of Strength. You could have your characters wear them, but I usually sell them. If you get a little further into the game, you start to find a lot of these things.

On some levels you can end up going over the same ground time and time again. Some of them you just see what's at the other end. Up to you to discover which.
