Actually Elmira College is NOT a dumpy little school, nor is it unsafe, nor is it nothing like the brochures. (I should know .... I'm an alum from last year!) On the contrary, it is ranked in the top one percent of all colleges in the UNITED STATES for percentage of alumni that donate to the college every year, was ranked #20 in the Northeast by US News and World Report, and is one of the 300 best buys by Barrons. I suggest you talk to someone in admissions.
