fantasy quest 2 claustrophobic tower

Ive been stuck in the tower second floor for days. I touched the painting when it showed the room, and got transported to the second floor.
Now I can't leave, and there is no bathroom in here. Things are reaching critical mass.
I can get a red glow, and I can intenisfy it, but everything I pick after that makes it fade out to normal light. If I don't intensify it, it fades out.
I can get a blue glow, and I can intensify that, but everything I do after that makes it fade out to normal light. If I don't intensify it, it fades out.
I've lost my communicator and I can't beam up.
