Yes, some do. If you get into some Heavy Rock, KoRn has a sound that no one else has. When one of their songs come on the radio, you know it's them. One thing that makes them different is their bass player. He plays the bass guitar like no one else does. Their singer (I forget his name) is very recognizable, also. TooL has a sound like that, too. Their guitarists are very good, but their drummer, in my opinion, is one of the best. He has a sound like Rush's drummer, whom I think is the best drummer, but not quite as good. He actually looks up to Rush's drummer. Their singer, who is also in a group called A Perfect Circle, has a voice that you could very easily recognize, I actually thought that A Perfect Circle was TooL for a while until I was told otherwise. That's all I can come up with right now. I don't really listen to pop music or stuff like that, so I don't really know if any artists in that genre have a real distinct sound.
