Eeek! This doesn't affect me directly, since I don't live in the USA, but 1) I am half American, so it does still interest me, 2) I have cousins in America, one of them is already old enough to be drafted, and I think one them's pretty close, and 3) I'm opposed to the concept of the draft wherever it happens, on principle.

One thing that did interest me, however, is that the site says women will also be eligible. One thing that's annoyed me when I've thought about the draft in the past is that it was men-only - that's probably the least wrong thing about it, but I'm glad they've got that problem fixed.
