They teach us, of course, nothing. Theoretically, though, it's High German. My teacher has told us about the dialects, but the only times we were exposed to them were on a movie [TV show, actually] and in the beggining part of our first year when, to illustrate, she told us different phrases in several dialects. 'Course, we'd heard little to no German then, and they all sounded pretty much alike.
