Yes. You get the golden necklace when you return the cat to Caroline and you get the ruby when you return the cat to the guy in charge of the animal enclosure in the arboretum (I forget his name).
As for what you do next, you'll need to finish both the booster and the conduit jobs before Kepler will give you something new (check your e-mail (in the game) when you finish them.)
