Well, I didn't say it was _perfect_. Compared to most time travel movies, it makes a whole lot of sense. I believe that at one time I had some sort of explanation for the answering machine, but thinking on it, I can't come up with it. Now I'm going to have to go rent the movie again...

Heh. Personally, I'd have to say that at least some of it was in his head. It's the best way to account for the voice/homeless guy. But....ugh, haven't seen it in a while. Hard for me to come up with specific facts.
