i think the head is somewhere in the maze. the map definatly helps; there will be a section that isnt connected by paths. you must break through the bushes on the west side to get there. if you dont have the map, the best i can say is go find it or wander around the maze until you come to a spot on the western side of the maze where a path takes you diagonally northeast-southwest. look around there.
