i'm the one that wrote the hint you are talking about, but still don't know what extra puzzle you are talking about. that sundial does nothing.

the only thing i can think of is the head behind the hedge. but apparently you already found that. but if you play through to the end you know that the last puzzle lord brackly wrote about is the head.
