the silver key fits a case in the library. you will find a book there that gives a date on when it was written. looks like a combination to me. after you get the sphinx go up to the 3rd floor. you will find a place to put it. also a place to use that gold key. that alter room is not useful at this time. tell me what this altered clock piece is that you have?

lord brakley is dead. woman in maze just gives u directions to get out. please give your whole inventory and what exactly you are trying to do.
