I have tried really hard this time, finished brackly hall without help (woohoo!) though its not that big a deal..... i appreciate how annoying it must be for you all who help us out here!
This is my first and hopefully only posting for this game....!

Below is my inventory

20 Bronze Coins
Stone of Strengthening
Sticks
Clear Focus Stone
Map

6 Red Gemstones
Food Rations
String
Piece of Trash
Magnifying Glass

11 Black Gemstones
Rope
Key of Opening
Crate

Guard's Sword
Tinderbox
Portrait
Hammer

I have already gone to the tavern and thought about making a ring and asked the blacksmith about making the ring for me...but he needs to know what it looks like...so i need to get the picture from the banquet hall....
Problem is i have gone to the west wall and gone to the battlement and smelt the cooking and been told about the cook....
Been to the moat but the rope never seems to latch on....it either doesnt go where it is supposed to or it misses the narrow windows....!!!
Help....
And sorry for bugging you....
