It looks extremly cornball. Maybe I'll catch it on DVD.

The first 30 seconds or so watching the trailer, I though "Eh, looks dumb." (I rolled my eyes at the whole "Joan Rivers" spoof) but then it got FUNNY. I think it'll be a good one. I hope so anyway.

I am really looking forward to this one, of course. And YAY for no more Chris Columbus.

Garfield hasn't been funny in FOREVAR, so why would they try to make a movie out of it? Bleh. I'll skip this one, thank you very much.

So I'm less concerned as I would normally be that this version seems to wreak all kinds of sacrileges against the novel in the interest of broader appeal. (Jackie Chan as Passepartout?? Smile and nod.) With two good faithful films in the bag, I'm content to have a "fun" one that plays more with the legend and less with the story. If this is as good as the trailer, we're in for the surprise hit of the summer.

Ok, I haven't seen the first two versions of this movie, they sound good and I shall have to watch them. They ONLY reason I will go see this is because of Jackie Chan. The fight scenes look promising. I can sit through a lot for the Jackie. I love the Jackie. Must watch the Jackie. I sat throught "The Medallion" for the Jackie. (By the way, CGI doesn't work in the fight scenes, Jackie, don't ever do that again.)

One of my problems is that I just read the book for the first time a couple of weeks ago, so the story is fresh in my mind and I keep thinking "WHAT!?! Phileas Fogg an inventor? He whistles to turn on his lights? The Great Wall of CHINA?" Heh, I'm just going to pretend that it's a completly different story (which it basically is) and that the names of the characters just happen to be the same.

We'll be there on opening day, I'm sure. If we can get a babysitter, that is...

Totally.

Ti'Just wish it was December so I could watch "The Series of Unfortunate Events...that's the movie I'm most looking forward to.'cia
