Here's another game that may be of interest. It's called "High Descent." The current game is ending today and a new one will be starting up soon, I'm guessing in a few days. You start out with some money and buy a mercenary (a "merc") and give him/her various attributes, buy armor, a weapon, etc. and then attack other players. You're allowed 5 attacks per day initially and get gold and "nobility points" with each win. Mercenaries also get points with a win or if you win in gladiator bouts. When you get more gold and advance levels more mercs, weapons, and armor become available. If you lose a battle, you die, but you come back full strength for the next battle. There's more to it (alliances, various strategies as to how assign your nobility points, spying on other nobles, sending scrolls to other nobles, etc.) It's addictive. The game is free but you can buy various add ons such as battle logs, increased disk space etc. The increased numbers of battle logs ($7) and extra time (if you don't log on every 3 days you're deleted and kicking in $7 gives you 50 days) are worth it.
