u have what u need to defeat the vampiress the tree branches and the nail will make a good cross when poundd together with the iron support. when you are in her presence. step back east then west again and show her the cross. if you got rid of the cat then you will find the log at the beach. the one without the mermaid. if not then you will have to lead the cat from the garden to the log at the bottom of the stairs.
