So, I promised Sam a long time ago (about 2 months) that I would write an article (or message post, what have you...) on toothpaste foam and my daughter Rose. I got kind of sidetracked, what with having a baby and all, but I'll post what I did get done. I'm never going to finish it, so, yeah....
Rose and toothpaste foam.
It has been said by some that for maximum gum health, you should let toothpaste foam remain in your mouth for 1 minute before rinsing, but I think that this is untrue. My daughter, Rose, for instance, has only two teeth, so the majority of her mouth is gums. According to this philosophy, you would think that for her little gums to be at their maximum health, she should hold a bunch of icky toothpaste foam in her mouth for one whole minute. I tell you now, though, that to get the toothpaste foam in her mouth at all would be good for neither her gums, nor my fingers.
You see Rose hates to have things put into her mouth. Whether that thing is my finger, to check for emerging teeth, or toothpaste foam, for the health of her gums, bad things happen to those things. I really don't want to spend my days cleaning toothpaste foam off of the bathroom floor, sink, walls, and mirror.
Which brings me to another of my favorite subjects. Cleaning up after my child. Ok, so this is neither my favorite subject, nor my favorite thing to do, which is why my house looks as if a small demon child has the run of things here. (Come to think of it, that is the situation here) There are CD cases scattered over the floor in front of the computer. Toys and various crayons, markers, and Tupperware containers are strewn everywhere.
