What does it all mean?

My computer has taken on a personality all its own. This morning he has told me that an error had occurred and then asked me if wanted to continue running "scripts." I understand running red lights, and running off at the mouth, and running around in circles, but I know nothing of running scripts. I looked the word up in my 20-year-old dictionary and it didn't mention scripts on a computer. Possibly it was printed before computer scripts were invented. I'm not sure I ever heard the word script used in the plural, other than when he says it. He has asked me that same question three times this morning. How should I answer it?

Last night when I started shutting him down, he insisted that the program (Word) was in use by another user, and he was reluctant to shut down. Since he is the only computer in my networks, I looked around to see who else was here and saw no one. Who else could have been using my word processing program? Whoever it was may have been upset, because I shut him down anyway.
