Not that he's not happy with us, he had a hard time the last weeks with making up his mind: staying or leaving and taking the great opportunity....

Its not really promotion, i'm doing the same job (the same function), they only changed a bit the working of the company, and that means my function has some more things to take care of and being responsable of.

Ah, but I DO care what happens to you, Jommeke. The world speaks to each of us in many voices, and yours is a full member among them. I always try to respect your views sincerely... as you can see in our discussion of Heroes vs. idols. The input of everyone who chooses to speak on this forum is valuable. I may occasionally poke jabs at some folks here but it is (I hope) all in good fun, and if it ever ceases to be fun, or if I overstep, I hope you'll have the heart to tell me.

You see, my immediate circle of friends and my family are products of the West Island of Montreal. We have West Islander views. We speak West Island English adrift in a sea of Québec French. Our lives, in general, are circumscribed by the mercy of regional politics which is frankly incredibly boring. So I am greatly gladdened by your European voice Jommeke which allows me to see beyond our own concerns and conceits. I like what you say, and always will look forward to what everyone says here in the future.

I haven't been able to participate as much as I'd like recently. Real life intrudes... We're been busy making preparations for our grandfather's memorial service, taken time off from work to meet with the insurance adjuster, install security lights, winterize the house for the Great White North etc. Busy. I've been reading the forum when I can, though, and it's heartening to see the recent creative gifts offered by Raven and Brunnen. Thank you.

Thanks -- I'll keep that in mind. The same goes for you too, if you ever want to come to the jewel of the north called Montreal, Canada!
