I think it also ought to be mentioned that even without cars, pretty awful things can happen. Something like 70% of sexual assault cases involve alcohol use. How much domestic violence occurs as a result of, or is at least related to, alcohol abuse? In light of some of the things that are related to drinking, killing a family of four seems almost the least of many things that could go wrong.
