I've wondered myself what Bach (basically the guy whose stuff is pretty much foundational to all Western music--um, that's hemisphere, not just Country/Western) and even Beethoven (whose last works have been argued to lay a musical foundation for some bizarre 20th-century styles) would think of things like distorted electric guitars and Broadway singing techniques.

All i know is, after a couple hundred years of having the piano, i really don't want to have to go back to the harpsichord.
