Most people I have heard discuss this are not offended by the nudity per se--but by the context of the nudity. In what was otherwise ostensibly a "G" rated sporting event, the "PG-13" surprise didn't give people the chance to opt out of something they might find inappropriate for the kids or contradictory to their own set of values, and that shows a disrespect for the audience.
I liken it to a smoker who comes into your home and lights up without asking your permission first. It's just common courtesy to ask, "hey, do you mind?" since it *is* your home. The MPAA ratings (although not perfect) serve that purpose--"hey, do you mind"--and then we can dive for the remote or sit back and enjoy it as we please, which is what the "envelope pushers" have continually told the status quo defenders to do all these years. Yet somehow one feels it is the same envelope pushers who foisted this "entertainment" on the public, while slyly denying the public the choice of saying "no".
Yeah, it's just a breast, but I shouldn't have to see it if I don't want to.
