Thanks for the support. But I spent a lifetime as a teacher and developed a very thick skin. I don't get my feelings hurt, and even when I try to get a little heat into a discussion, I do it mostly in fun. I don't apologize for being a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat. It's a genetic condition. I agree with what Sam said, but I like to put my own slant on the facts just to make a point. I honestly don't think either of the George Bushes should have become presidents, and that isn't because they are Republicans. There are a lot of Republicans on my list of admired Americans. (Howard Baker, Gerald Ford, Dwight Einsenhower, and Everett Dirkson to name a few.) When George the 1st ran, he didn't really scare me. After he got elected, I got scared. But George the 2nd scared me to death from the very start, and he is still doing it.
Note to Sam, who is probably reading this: As I have said before, I depend on you to keep me from offending anyone, and I will never object when you delete my posts. You give me the freedom to shoot my mouth off, which I obviously love to do.
And what about that Howard Dean? He has such a nice name. Howard
