Yeah, you need to do the mine cart thing again. Find the quickest path through the sandstone caverns, but first make sure you know which exit is the right one. There are actually three exits where you can see the mine tracks running by (the first being where you first enter on the white level, and the second being the narrow ledge where you cranked open the barrier from the south side). You need to find the third, on the black level. It's easy to get lost on the way down, so you might try starting from the bottom exit and finding the quickest way back up to the top. Turns out you don't need to use any of those 1-way drops.
