Dude, the only oozing happening here is crap, to this forum. You can't just read a vibe in an Internet post and swear by it against all logic and objections of those who know me better. As it happens, I *am* quite looking forward to the movie, as it is exactly the kind of thing I frequently enjoy. So no, there isn't any negative kharma going on except what you made up.

No, that's what I would have said if I had seen the movie already and enjoyed it. Or it's what I would have said if I were so paranoid of offending someone such as yourself by making a comment of some kind that isn't umambiguously enthusiastic.

I have not seen the movie. I don't know if it's a "promising start" by a minor studio or not. I don't know if it's even going to be any good at all. That does not, however, mean I am not more or less looking forward to seeing it.

You might want to consider that sometimes -- arguably more often than not -- reality falls somewhere in between extremes.
