It was probably a language barrier thing, I guess. So no problem on that count, I guess.
Still, I don't understand why you posted a reply in the first place; I wonder the same thing for other posts of yours. In this case, you posted an answer to a question -- great -- but what was there in the reply that was of interest to the general readers here, or even wintermute and famous in particular? If you had followed up with questions designed to further the discussion, that would have made sense. If your opinion had been supported by some particular reasons that would expose us to a particular perspective, that would have also made sense. But essentially nothing more than "It's OK" as a reply to a question directed at the general readership really doesn't help anybody. I think that bothered me as much as the fact that your wording came across to me as insensitive, though, again, now I understand that part of it to be a language barrier thing.
Thinking about the level of general interest posts are going to have to the readership, or the specific interests of people asking questions, would be a good thing for everyone to think about before they hit that 'Post' button.
