It wouldn't make a difference to me -- I don't need much, not even graphics -- but I use IE 5.0 now because 1) it's *mucho* faster to create new windows -- my preference ;) -- and 2), it definitely doesn't seem to crash as much as IE 3 or 4 or NS 4.x. Before that, I used Netscape for years.

IE should do something about the enormous amounts of space it gobbles in its stupid "Favorites Links" file format.

Actually I do spawn new browser windows on occasions where I need to see more than one page at a time, or I want to go to a completely different site for a quick reference and not lose my place in the original browser window. But in the usual case, I'm comfortable with just one browser window.

I deplore even the small amount of time it takes to "reload" previous huge pages from cache whenever you hit the back button several times. That's the main reason for my spawned windows.

Let's get together and nuke most of GeoCities' adserver script, then. Let's wipe pop-up windows off the face of the earth. I'm with you there.
