Battle with Pheicryn

Could someone assist please at least push me in the right direction. I've been battling with the winged creature for about 6 hrs now and can't seem to get any futher with the fight. All I can do is Kick, attack, pick up chain and wail the chain across the face and attack again but as soon as I make another option back to her whooping my behind. Please help!!!
Whats left in my inventory:
8 Red Gemstones
