Well, Unipeg makes VERY valid points. It would be a bit wierd for someone to call after a year, and the conversation would be a short and awkward one. But by the same token, you have to ask yourself if not knowing what would happen is worth what your going through by NOT calling her. Maybe it'll be bad, maybe it won't, but unless you call and find out you may NEVER know. Especially if she NEVER answers your letters, however well intentioned she may be about that. And look at it this way... What would it hurt? The relationship isn't going anywhere by NOT calling, and while actually picking up the phone may not help, what have you lost? At the very least, a bad response could be viewed as closure and allow you to move on. Just my opinion, but I say call.
