I'm pretty sure the guy who played guitar in several episodes of the first few seasons of the show is the guy who sings, and possibly even wrote the song. I'll check my M*A*S*H book tonight at home. (Being from Toledo, I have to be a fan, and I always know another fan by the immediate "Just like Klinger!" response to that info.)
