Heh. That's my favorite Metallica quote on the whole "selling out" thing. The full quote actually goes like this:

Jason: "Yes we sell out. Every seat in the house, every time we play, wherever we play."

It's more funny because it's true. Ever since the Black Album came out, they've been the biggest band in metal. When they came to Boston a few years ago, they sold out the Fleet Center in less than two hours. They did so well, they decided to do another show the next night. They sold *that* show out even quicker. Then they scheduled a show in Worcester an sold all of those tickets too.

I started calling Ticketmaster (I'd call it what I usually call it, but I think Sam's cencorship script would balk at it) right when tickets went on sale for the first Fleet Center show, and I didn't get through for over an hour. When I got through, the best seat I could get was one row below the roof.
