They are really cheap at $100+ because they will out last regular shoes 3 or 4 to one. No shoe even comes close for comfort. They are easy to keep clean and if you forget and wear them to a mud fight, it won't hurt them. If you have any kind of foot trouble, you need SAS shoes. I wear them with a suit or blue jeans. They are soft and light and tough. I wear them to travel, to hike, to shop or just to sit around on the couch. If you have to be on your feet all day, you need SAS shoes. The traction is good on almost any surface, but I did slip on a spilled ice cream cone once, and almost fell. They are no good as reef walkers, and if you need a deck shoe, get a deck shoe. Otherwise, get SAS. This is not a commercial.

> You are absolutely correct, Howard, SAS is the only shoe as far as I am concerned. I am a polio victim, but even if I had normal feet, I think I would wear SAS. The problem is---every since Gayfer's sold out to that damn Dillard's, I cannot find any store that sells SAS. A few years ago I contacted the factory and asked if I could buy direct. They could care less about my problem and said no. So, here I am with no shoes, so I don't go anywhere where shoes are required--which means I have stayed at home for almost two years. I have searched the internet for hours on end and just can't seem to find SAS shoes anywhere. I was happy to see your letter here---it gave me hope that somewhere, somehow, I will be able to find some shoes. thank you.
