What I wrote was too much. I should not have said anything about Cynthia at all, and instead concentrated on the thing I was interested in, her quotation from another deist. I hope I didn't hurt her feelings.

I wrote from a Christian perspective on the particulars of the quotation. Cynthia did not attack Christianity or Christians directly, but the quotation's points bear directly on particular religious teachings and behaviours. That's what I was getting at.
