Having not read all the responses people may have said these same things to you already.
On White Castle:
I'm from the deep south. We have a resteraunt much like White Castle here, Krystals. It's really the exact same thing - and I love them. Of course, I love onions. And I ate Krystal burgers as a kid - I think that has something to do with it.
Of course, I can't eat them a lot, or more than a few at a time (I have known people who would buy the sack of 12 and eat all but 4 and then eat the 4 as a snack later on!) because they do horrible things to your insides.
On asphalt:
I've never encountered the kind that makes your turns sound like you are going 80mph, though I think that would be interesting. But I HAVE encountered some that makes your car sound like there's a 747 above you (It does not, however, appear to be red in any way ever that I have seen) and my first thought was, indeed, that there was a problem with my tires and they were about to blow up, which would have been odd and annoying since I had just gotten them all replaced two days earlier. But no, it was just the newly paved part of the interstate I drive regularly.
