Basically, I set you up with the English language files, and you send back translated versions of those same files. No coding knowledge is required. Translators would get their names in the credits, preserved for posterity forever and ever. > > Is anybody fluent in a foreign language interested in undertaking a language translation project? If so, let me know. You might also want to subscribe to #RookChatDev in RinkChat, if you are interested in corresponding with others working on it.
I may be able to do the Spanish. I've only had two years of Spanish, but I know enough vocabulary and grammar to handle it. (And I can refer to other sources for the vocab I don't know.)
My email is drw2326 at aol dot com. (munged for spambots.)
BTW, I have a couple of RookChat-related suggestions. I'm posting them here for you all because I don't know Python.
1. Put the "Delete Selected Memos" button before the "Delete All Memos" button so that pressing "enter" clicks on the "Delete Selected Memos" button. (Yes, I'm lazy in that regard.)
2. Have an "override list". This would be a list of legitimate words (such as "mnemonic") that don't get through the "botched memo/msg detection" if they're at the beginning of a message. RookChat would override the result of the Levenshtein algorithm if the first word of the message matched a word on the list.
Lucky "Once tried to answer 'mnemonic' to a clue during a BuzzBot game... good thing it wasn't the answer. To avoid Rule Six, the answer was 'planets', and the clue was one of those 'My Very Earthly/Elite/Enthusiastic/whatever Mother......' things" Wizard
