Yah hah!!! Unintended!

My old English teacher practically preached on how nothing was coincidental. Her example:
To Kill a Mockingbird
The scene where Atticus is waiting outside the jail. She spent days trying to convince the class Atticus was a Christ figure. We fought her tooth and nail-- and also with every other God character she presented to us. Boy were there a lot. Anyways, back to Atticus. They did it differently in the movie, which she much bemoaned, but in the book he has a light hanging above his head... arg, I've forgotten! Well, there was a light above his head... umm... she said if you draw it right it was a reference to the Ascencion, or in some other way saying that Atticus was intended to be a Christ figure. We thought she was reading into it too much-- no pun intended [actually unintended-- good for me].

Felt like "sharing."
