A few quick playtests have revealed that Jaffar is way too powerful when he's Winning, making it nearly impossible for Sinbad to complete a challenge. I'm now trying out several rules changes to correct that:

* The Scoreboard state *only* affects Jaffar: he can play 1 card when Losing and 2 when Winning. Sinbad, by contrast, always has the same actions available to him.

* Sinbad's action descriptions are streamlined. He can now take 2 actions of any type on his turn; the actions are: Draw a card, Play a card, Trade a card.

* A change in the order of play: Sinbad plays first in each turn, then Jaffar. I'm testing out whether it's a good idea to let Jaffar take his turn normally after Sinbad completes a challenge, thereby possibly undoing the last step of that challenge and forcing Sinbad to play that last card again on his next turn.

So far, this seems to improve Sinbad's lot while still making Jaffar a credible threat, or at least a major annoyance.
