> I've opened the gate, gotten across the bog and found the pass through the mountains, and now I can't find anything further to do. I can't figure out the candy house, the platform or the mountain pass. I've done every action at every square in the game (as far as I can tell), several times. Help would be greatly appreciated.

After you've done something with the candy house, you can go further. For the candy house, you need the bucket and something IN the bucket. Hope that helps.
