Recently, the Knoxville News Sentinal asked readers to send them little articles to fill in while staff members were on vacation. One of the suggested catagories was "clothes that make you feel good." So I sent them this and they published it today.

"Although I'm almost 70, I feel 17 again when I put on one of my Cushman T-shirts. Ever time I go to a Cushman meet, I buy a new T-shirt, and every meet has shirts with a different design. I usually look for a shirt that pictures one of the Cushmans in my collection.
I've been collecting these ageless motor scooters for about 10 years now, and I have five of them that are complete and a few more that need to be restored. Cushmans were manufactured in Lincoln, Neb., between 1936 and 1965. My collection includes '47 to '63.

On June 19, I put on one of my Cushman shirts and rode my 1963 Cushman Super Silver Eagle around the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It may have been the slowest lap ever at Indy, but it ranked near the top in thrills.
