I'm not sure how much money we're talking about here, but why it makes sense to me to offer both. Might want to offer a third: ads, but with subscription-only content. You don't want to risk confusing people with the total number of options, though.

I think that if you make it a reasonable fee, you only need to offer one subscription that does both things. You could also have certain features (maybe those that are the most "expensive" for you to run) which non-subscribers could buy on a one-by-one basis.
